The phone gets its power via an integrated solar charger.There is still a battery in there, you just don’t need an outlet to charge it. And the phone should be available by June of this year.

Sale shipments of graphics chips have going down with startling 34% in the end of the month’s of 2008, according to market research firm Jon Peddie. The estimate group’s says that this is the first time that sales of graphics chips have going so much down in  a calendar year since 2000. The sales sits is lower than 28% than in 2007’s final quarter. Total graphic chip shipments in 2008′s end of the month’s  was around 72 million, says the researcher, a fall from 111 million shipments in the previous quarter. The group adds that the end month in 2007 sold over 100 million GPUs. The researcher states that the shipment numbers are not exclusively representing PC GPUs; the chips are used in many different machines and computers, such as industrial and medical systems, point of sale terminals, kiosks, digital signs, etc. The researcher adds, however, that an apparent third of all PCs being shipped today will have more than a single GPU installed.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X1

Mobil.se have tested this somewhat strange method to update without problems and according to Sony Ericsson’s support department will only move if a bug in the update program that enables the user may be incorrect information.

Sony Ericsson has not gone out with any information on exactly what improvements the new software includes but some users report that the camera has become significantly faster.

After updating the Mobil.se’s phone are we to correspondence between the panels in some cases seem to go a little faster than before but at the same time fluctuations are still tough on many occasions. The difference we see is so small that we do not dare say anything with certainty about a possible improvement.

After the update is version R2AA006 that have been installed in the phone.

On 30.Jan.2009, EA announced that one of the partially shuttered Canadian operation’s franchises, Need for Speed, will continue to developed. Not only will the NFS series carry on, it will be expanded and split into three different games.

The first, Need for Speed: Shift, is a hardcore racing simulation in the works for the PC, PSP, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

The second NFS franchise to rise from Black Box’s ashes is Need for Speed Nitro (working title), an arcade racer being crafted by the Boogie-makers at EA Montreal. Set for release exclusively on Nintendo’s Wii and DS, the game will sport a “unique visual style” and, like Need for Speed Shift, will sport many real-world automotive licenses. Also like Shift, it will ship in North American this fall.

Finally, six years after EA shut down its first car-based massively multiplayer game, Motor City Online, the publisher is backing the auto MMOG genre out of the garage again. Jointly developed by Black Box and EA Shanghai, Need for Speed World Online is a PC-only, free-to-play game set to launch in Asia this coming summer. A North American release is scheduled for “winter 2009,” which could potentially mean an early 2010 release.

Philips' 56-inch Cinema 21:9 HDTV!

OMG this TV is very, very, very big! It is at 21:9, and thats big in proportion to 16:9 in the normal HDTV’s. And a video has been posted with this beauty in action (look below). The release date of this big HDTV will probably be in spring and the estimated price is £3,000 ($4,276).

UPDATE:

Philips’ 56-inch Cinema 21:9 HDTV won’t be sold in America. If the American people want’s it they would probably import it via United Kingdom.

Acer Ferrari 1200

Underneath the hood (or inside the chassis – it doesn’t ship with a real hood) Acer opted to go with an AMD Turion X2 Ultra dual-core processor with 2MB cache and an AMD M780G chipset. Graphics are fueled with ATI’s Radeon HD 3200, and the portable rig supports up to 4GB of DDR2 memory. And we have to see if the people have problems with this HDD like the Seagate 1.5TB HDD. The harddrive is now on sale in Australia too. An I think this hardrive is going to be a sucess for the ‘pirate’ people and the gamer people.

The process for doing this is a bit more complicated than removing the ‘Send Feedback’ link. You have to patch the original user32.dll.mui file found on your Windows folder. So what I recommend you do is download this utility (found via TechSpot and My Digital Life) that will take care of everything for you – notice however this is only meant to work with Windows 7 Beta1 (Build 7000).
